The Women's Emergency Network helps women getting their abortions in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe Counties in Florida. If you reach a voicemail when you call, leave a message and someone from the Women's Emergency Network will call you back within 24 hours (please allow extra time if you call during weekends). Clinics are listed on the website. You can also call our hotline at 305 446 4615 for a pre-recorded message with information, both in English and in Spanish.
The Women’s Emergency Network was founded in 1989 by a group of caring women who recognized that reproductive freedom was an empty promise for those without financial means.
On average, in 2015 the Women's Emergency Network helped two women a day, every single day. Women who would otherwise not have been able to afford an abortion. Volunteers call clients after their abortions to assess quality of care, check on clients’ well-being, reinforce WEN’s educational messages about contraception and safe sexual practices, and provide additional referrals as needed.
For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because women cannot be helped if the funds are lacking. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
