Our Story

The Concord Feminist Health Center was begun by women for women in 1974. Its mission has always been to empower women and their families. Named after the clinic's founder, Joan Lovering, the Joan Fund helps ensure that all women and girls can get the health care they need.

Our Community

During the decades since the clinic first opened, the Joan Fund has provided thousands of dollars in care to women who otherwise could not have afforded an abortion. The Concord Feminist Health Center was also the first in New Hampshire to make emergency contraception accessible to women.

Get Involved

For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
