The Lilith Fund provides money to help pay for abortions in Texas, except for areas of North Texas. Click here for a list of the clinics that the Lilith Fund works with. If you are having your abortion in North Texas (Waco, Dallas, Fort Worth, Midland, and Lubbock) check with the Texas Equal Access Fund instead.
The Lilith Fund hotline is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Leave a message on the Lilith Fund voicemail on one of these days, and the Fund will call you back within 48 hours. It is best if you can make your appointment before you call the hotline so you know where you are having your abortion and how much it will cost.
The Lilith Fund is made up of a group of volunteers who envision a society in which equal access to abortion is guaranteed for all, regardless of economic situation. They oppose all efforts to restrict abortion rights and are committed to fighting for comprehensive access to health care for all.
Last year, the Lilith Fund helped 837 women who otherwise would not have been able to afford an abortion. The hotline provides a safe and confidential connection to healthcare services often restricted by today’s political climate around abortion, and their case managers offer financial and pregnancy options counseling to clients, working with area health clinics that also supply birth control and other reproductive health information and services.
For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
