If you need help paying for an abortion in Arizona, the Abortion Access Network of Arizona may be able to help you.
To get help, first make an appointment at a clinic. Then call and leave a message with your name and a phone number where the fund can call you back. A volunteer will call you back within 48 hours. You will need to know the date of your appointment, the name of the clinic, and the amount of money your abortion will cost. (For help finding a clinic, click here.)
This fund may also be able to help you pay for transportation costs like bus fare or gas money to get to the clinic.
If you need help paying for emergency contraception, call this fund.
Started in 2011, the Abortion Access Network of Arizona (AANA) is Arizona’s only independent abortion fund. They are an all-volunteer organization dedicated to helping women afford their reproductive choices.
AANA raises money for people of all ages, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds who are unable to pay for either emergency contraception or a safe and legal abortion. Check out their blog for updates and actions.
For abortion funds, raising money is half the battle, because they can’t help women unless they have something to give. Donating to your local abortion fund means giving a woman the resources she needs to make the choice that is right for her.
Furthermore, AANA is a small organization, and even small donations of time, talent and resources can make a huge difference in people's lives: become a volunteer, host a house party, attend an event, or make a donation.
