Thanks to you, we met our goal in 2011! At the end of the year, you gave over $60,000 to help us provide women with funding they need to get necessary abortion care, to bolster support for our newest abortion funds in areas like Georgia, North Carolina, and Arizona where needs are great and resources the scarcest, and to fight ongoing attacks on abortion access.

At a time when we are receiving record requests for funding, when the poverty rate is the highest it's been in 17 years and the real value of the mimumum wage is 25% lower than it was in 1968, it is criminal that Medicaid, the safety net for health care, does not cover abortion. Women are instead left to go hungry, to risk eviction, pawn their last possessions and go without diapers for their children in order to get the health care they need.

Thank you for being there. You help provide a safety net for nearly 22,000 women a year. You make it possible for us to answer the phones and tell a woman, "Yes, we can help."
